Web Application Firewall treats SSL is also important as you will be dealing with a great amount of encryption and decryption of data during the transactions.

SSL (Secure Socket Layer)

  • standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser.
  • ensures that all data transferred remains private and keep the customer’s data safe.

Why Use SSL?

Most of the websites use SSL encryption each day to secure their communication channel. Each website on the Internet should be served over HTTPS. The reasons for this mentioned below:

  • Improves page load times (Performance).
  • Search Ranking Boost
  • Restrictions to peep on users’ data (Increased Security).
  • Increases visitor’s trust.
  • Key component in PCI compliance (Regulatory Complianc)

Dedicated SSL Certificates

SSL Certificate APIs are available on all Prophaze offerings.

Served through our global content distribution network.
can issue new certificates and generate private keys securely within the Prophaze dashboard just in minutes

Custom Certificates

Prophaze automatically provisions SSL certificates that are shared by multiple customer domains. Business and Enterprise customers have the option to upload a custom, dedicated SSL certificate that will be presented to end users. This allows the use of extended validation (EV) and organization validated (OV) certificates.

TLS Client Auth

Prophaze validates the device’s certificate to verify whether it has authorized access to the endpoint, while a user tries to establish a connection with its origin server. TLS Client Auth (Mutual Auth) creates a secure connection between a client such as a device / mobile app, and its origin. If the device doesn’t have a valid client certificate (either missing, invalid or expired,) the connection will be revoked and returns a 403 error status code; else the device is able to establish a secure connection.

Automatic HTTPS Rewrites

While enhancing performance and security Automatic HTTPS Rewrites securely avoids content issues by rewriting insecure URLs from secure known hosts dynamically. Also it enables to take the latest security standards and web optimization features that are only available over HTTPS.

Encrypted Server Name Indicator (SNI)

The capability of Encrypted SNI replacement with the plaintext “server_name” extension expands on TLS, increases the privacy of users. This is done by concealing the destination hostname from intermediaries between the visitor and website.

Prevent from DDoS and other attacks

Prophaze WAF can reduce the load on its website, this checks for SQLi attacks and XSS attacks for both the network and application layers

When individuals comes to a website for help, some offenders can work to compromise the application or steal any valuable information. These people can also launch a DDoS attack make the application unavailable.
