A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in Artifex MuPDF up to 1.17.x (Document Reader Software). Affected is the function tiff_expand_colormap of the component TIFF File Handler. Upgrading to version 1.18.0 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.ghostscript.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
